There are two ways to help Thai students escape the cycle of poverty. The most effective is to sponsor a student for 3 years in order to graduate from high school. But of course you can also make smaller or larger donations.
Your sponsorship money will help FERC make a big difference to the life of a student in Northern Thailand, by helping to remain in school for the last 3 years of high school and provide a greater chance of securing a better job in the future.
The 3-year sponsorship amount is 6,000 Thai Baht per semester or 12,000 baht per year for a total of 36,000 baht. You can pay the full amount for 3 years of sponsorship in one go, or you can choose to pay in 3 annual installments of 12,000 baht.
Quite an expense, but know that your support is not just about money, as the student you sponsor will know that someone believes in her/him and is investing in his/her future. That is a priceless feeling.
Donations, small or big, are more than welcome. They will be added to our funds to support students without a sponsor, to continue the financial support of a student in case a sponsorship ends prematurely and to cover the low administrative cost.
